The Hideaway
In 2016, we stumbled upon an abandoned mine camp that had been left untouched for a decade. Tasked with the challenge of revitalizing this forgotten space, we embarked on a journey to breathe new life into it. With determination and vision, we set out to transform the derelict site into something extraordinary. Through hard work and perseverance, the Hideaway was born—a testament to our creativity and resourcefulness. What was once a relic of the past now stands as a vibrant retreat, offering solace and serenity amidst the rugged beauty of the wilderness. The Hideaway embodies the spirit of renewal and transformation, serving as a reminder of the power of ingenuity and the endless possibilities that lie within abandoned spaces. Unfortunately The Hideaway did not survive covid.

In 2018, amidst a forest fire raging just 8 kilometers up the forest service road, the BC Wildfire team came to our rescue, providing a sense of safety and relief that had been absent all summer. As the flames encroached upon our surroundings, their swift and decisive action not only saved the day but also instilled a newfound sense of security. With their expertise and dedication, they fought tirelessly to contain the blaze, ensuring the protection of both lives and property. Their presence brought a profound reassurance, offering a beacon of hope in the midst of uncertainty. Amidst the chaos of the wildfire, their bravery and resolve stood as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of nature's fury.
