Debra Henkelman has spent her life helping others —

from working on the ambulance and at Sparwood Mine as an OFA3 to administering Laser Quits for addiction support.

Now, through Pawz Laser Healing, she brings that same dedication to helping pets heal safely and comfortably at home.

I help devoted pet owners give their dogs and cats a happier, healthier life through gentle, non-invasive laser therapy that speeds healing, relieves pain, and enhances overall well-being.

Core Values
✅ Traditional, no-gimmick care
✅ Compassion + respect for animals
✅ Safety first (proper technique, protective equipment)
✅ Housecall convenience — because pets heal better at home
✅ Honesty — no overblown promises, just real help

Bringing peace of mind to pet families by making healing simple, natural, and stress-free — where every pet feels safe, and every owner feels confident.

Administering laser treatment for addictions through Laser Quits is something I take great pride in, as it offers a powerful, non-invasive approach to helping individuals break free from their dependencies.

This innovative therapy uses low-level laser technology to stimulate specific acupuncture points, promoting relaxation, reducing cravings, and supporting the body’s natural detoxification process. Seeing clients regain control over their lives and embrace a healthier future is incredibly rewarding. It’s fulfilling to be part of their transformation, providing a safe, effective, and compassionate solution for addiction recovery.

TECK - Sparwood Mine

In 2018, I achieved success by completing an OFA 3 course, enhancing my skills and knowledge as a medic. This accomplishment led to a pivotal role as a medic contact at a mine in Sparwood. Within this position, I took charge of running mine roads around the mountains, ensuring safety protocols were followed diligently. Additionally, I undertook the responsibilities of a safety supervisor and medic, demonstrating my commitment to promoting a secure working environment and providing medical assistance when needed.

During my short stint at BC Ambulance, I had the opportunity to explore the fast-paced world of emergency medical services, gaining insight into the dedication and skill required in the field. I observed paramedics in action, learning about their life-saving procedures, split-second decision-making, and the intense coordination required to handle emergencies. From understanding the inner workings of an ambulance to witnessing firsthand the challenges of patient care, the experience was both eye-opening and inspiring. It deepened my appreciation for frontline healthcare workers and left me with a newfound respect for the critical role they play in the community.
